CREDOXYS has closed its Series A financing round, co-led by deep-tech investors Ventech and eCAPITAL. eCAPITAL joins as a new investor, while existing shareholder Ventech significantly increased its commitment. Strategic partner Melchers Group, co-founder Prof. Dr. Karl Leo and several business angels with extensive OLED industry experience also participated in the round.
The new capital will allow us to scale our high-performance doping technologies, expand our market presence in Asia and explore further applications in organic electronics. Together, our two co-lead investors bring more than 50 years of combined deep-tech investment experience and international technology networks that support our entry into the predominantly Asian display market.
Dopants control charge transport inside an OLED and largely determine operating voltage, efficiency, image quality and lifetime — yet conventional p-dopants are reaching their performance limits. Our IP-protected platform combines high doping strength with high optical transparency and stability, enabling lower pixel crosstalk, more efficient and stable blue OLEDs, and higher efficiency in the multi-stack architectures used in premium TVs and micro-displays.
Beyond OLED displays, our core entry market, the same p- and n-dopant platform can boost the efficiency of organic photovoltaics, photodetectors and sensors — opening up applications from flexible, transparent solar cells for building-integrated photovoltaics to visible and near-infrared photodetectors for healthcare and industrial sensing.
“This investment represents the most significant milestone in our company’s history and further confirms that we have been on the right track since 2021,” said Dr. Sascha Dorok, CEO of CREDOXYS.
“Having previously backed European OLED materials pioneers, we recognize the potential of CREDOXYS’ technology,” said Dr. Paul-Josef Patt, Founding Partner at eCAPITAL. “Its differentiated materials platform addresses a critical industry bottleneck and is backed by strong intellectual property and successful customer validation. We look forward to supporting CREDOXYS on its path to becoming a key supplier to the global display industry.”
