CREDOXYS has received approval for a new research and development project focused on novel p-dopants for multi-stack OLED displays. With total funding of more than €0.8 million from the European Union and the Free State of Saxony, the project is a collaboration of CREDOXYS and the Institute of Applied Physics at TU Dresden. The research will be conducted with the group of Dr. Johannes Benduhn at the chair of Professor Karl Leo.
Starting in August 2026 and running for two and a half years, the project will develop and test new p-dopants for multi-stack OLED architectures used in TVs, monitors, and high-resolution micro-displays. Multi-stack OLEDs are increasingly important for achieving higher brightness and longer lifetimes. They are also gaining relevance in AR/VR applications, where extreme demands on display resolution and brightness place high requirements on material performance.
Building on CREDOXYS’s proprietary material platform, the partners aim to improve display contrast and color purity while maintaining low operating voltage and high brightness.
