At IMID 2026, the International Meeting on Information Display held from August 18th to 21st in Busan, Korea, Paulius Imbrasas presented our latest work on ultrathin metal-organic p-dopant layers for OLED displays. As Korea's largest display conference, bringing together roughly 2,000 researchers, engineers, and industry leaders, IMID is a key stage for showcasing advances that shape the next generation of display technology.
The talk introduced a novel strategy based on cerium-organic p-dopants, implemented as ultrathin, pure injection layers. This approach decouples vertical hole injection from lateral charge transport, addressing pixel crosstalk, one of the key challenges in high-resolution OLED displays. In his talk, Paulius demonstrated that lateral conductivity can be cut by a factor of three to ten compared to conventional p-doped layers in single and tandem stack OLEDs without sacrificing operating voltage, efficiency, or lifetime.
IMID 2026 offered very interesting talks and posters across the full breadth of display technology, and we had the chance to engage in fruitful discussions with researchers and industry partners throughout the event. Our presentation drew lots of interest in our technology, confirming the relevance of novel doping solutions for next-generation, high-resolution OLED displays.
